Title: VMSpc
Post by: bbeane on August 08, 2016, 11:20:13 pm
Is anyone running VMSpc on an ISC 350? If so what does your intake temp usually run, mine usually just sits there at ambient air temp.

corrected spelling of VMSpc - Michelle

Bruce I am running the VMS on mine 350 ISC and I do have that on my screen but as I am not on the road for a while I cannot report what it shows. I do seem to remember a week ago thinking that it looked in the low end, but cannot remember exactly what temp. I will see next time and report for you

Thanks John. I just got the VMSpec at Silverleaf about 3 weeks ago still getting all my screens set up.

Guys,

I have the same engine.

I thought I read somewhere on this forum that VMSpc was not fully implemented on the 8.3 ISC. That is, it did not provide much info from the data link.

I am obviously confused.

Anyone know what the real story is?

Thanks,

Trent

Bruce, my intake manifold temp (ISM450) varies with outside temps but usually runs in the mid 90's.  VMSpc reads data from the coach's data bus(es) to get info from the engine and transmission. Information that is available can be displayed. The ISC 350 should show you everything that you want to see.  There are some things that don't. I haven't been able to get coolant level to work on any Cummins engine.

Roger it does give you a lot of information. In fact too much to take at a glance if you try to put to much on the display.

Mine runs usually in mid 90s (more if hot outside.)
