Title: Dash A/C Drain Hose on 97
Post by: jor on August 21, 2016, 02:52:57 pm
I'm looking for the drain hose from the dash A/C on a 97 270. I can see some water dripping down from the bundle of cables but I can't find the hose. Can anyone describe the size of the hose and about where it should be hanging down? Thanks.

John,
Dash area condensate drain hose is locarted at coach floor lever accessible from the genset location passenger side of the genset doghouse.  You will need the flash light to locate it or you can see it if bright day. Maybe blowing some compressed air can clear the line.  It's worth a try.

While not particularly pleasant, better to put a long hose on the drain and suck on it.  Blowing to free a clog will just put the gunk back in play where it will clog again.

Thanks, guys. If it evr stops raining around here I'll locate it and try the manual suction method.

A wet dry vacuum is a better choice, no bad after taste. ^.^d
