Here are the photos before wrapping with insulation. I used Barry's (thanks) list of parts with one substitution and one addition. I found the 10" flex tube to be too long (muffler touching condenser) so I replaced that with an 8" connector. I also used a 5" OD connector to connect the elbow to the AT5050. The muffler/resonator will only accept an inside coupler because of its diameter. I still have to find another for the tip.
The anchor for the old muffler bracket makes a great anchor for a hanger (see photo) and I was able to use parts from Lowe's to get it done. I kept the rubber bumper in the anchor, of if you've lost it, a couple of old shock absorber bumpers should do well.
First time I've tried to load photos, so hope it works.
Looks like a nice, neat installation.
How's she sound?
Insulation was done today and finally got the tip on. It has been nearly impossible to find a connector that has a 5"OD to mate the muffler and tip which are 5"ID. I finally had to cut off a length of pipe and work it in and use a wide strap clamp. With everything out (including the condenser), there is a lot of room to work the angle grinder on any rust and detail the area.
It's louder, but I've yet to take it out for a test drive. I'm more interested in performance and reduced temps than the sound.
