Title: Problems with PS 250 transfer switch
Post by: Andy 2 on September 17, 2016, 06:33:51 pm
So I ha e been working on the bus in the shop and had 110 going in , finished back out and ran the generator for a little while, next day hooked up to 110 and transfer switch would  not click over, opened the T W box and the shore power switch would not push in allowing to make contact. Would the contacts under the bed prevent this?

Looks like you have a stuck contacter , if one is stuck you can not move the other one.

Thanks Bill, the lower one is stuck for shore power the upper one works with the generator and it can be pushed in? Is there anyway to unstick it?

See if the contacter has a number on it and replace it,  once they are burnt together they will do it again if you can get it unstuck.

We replaced our last ATS with:

Amazon.com : Esco ES50M-65N Automatic Transfer Switch from Power Cord to... (http://www.amazon.com/Esco-ES50M-65N-Automatic-Transfer-Generator/dp/B008VF931S)

I believer replacement parts are available.
