Title: 2005 foretravel
Post by: sprintcar44X on September 30, 2016, 11:01:42 pm
I'm new here so please have some patients with me. Can anyone tell me how many 2005 foretravel's were built and how many of each model? I have a lead on a 295 and would like to know if there is anything specific I should be looking at in particular on this coach. Appreciate any info from foreforum users as I will be owning one shortly, thanks Russ.

2005 was the last year for the 295. It was also a transition year for Foretravel as the company changed ownership. I do not know the number of units built in 2005 but I would guess that it was less than prior years. I have not read much on the forum of specific problems with the 2005 models. There are a few members with 2005's and they will probably be responding soon.

Some interesting discussion/charts here Foretravel data (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=28019.msg231997#msg231997)

And the referenced data collection here http://www.hackneys.com/foretravel/foretravel-data.htm which claims 37 units build in 2005.

We bought our 05 270 back in May, Put a little over 5000 miles on it and have had no issues at all. Other than replacing the original kitchen faucet. Don't know of any specific issues with 05's, but as with any used coach have a thorough inspection done before hand. We really love our Foretravel, it rides and handles like a dream with plenty of power to tow all our toys! The 05's have 18,000lbs towing capacity. My son liked it so much he bought an 04 U320 42' a couple weeks ago!  Good Luck, with your purchase!
