Does anyone have a bladder as in an extra one flaoting around in there coach that is a backup in case its needed?
I am in a little pickle here. My coach has been in getting some interior work done and the living room bladder replaced. After replacement they found that the rear was leaking also. I bought the parts awhile ago and finally had found a shop that was certified to do the replacement and the only leak I was able to locate was the living room. After the replacement of that one they turned the air on and the back would not blow up at all and found it was disconnected ( thats why I never found a leak there and thought it was only leaking in the living room).
Long story short is ... its torn apart in temecula valley rv in california and HWH and Foretravel are 3 weeks out on parts. I have a planned trip in 2 weeks for the motorhome. The bad part is its tore apart in there shop and I understand how that works with making money if its not moved out and the next one moved in.
I will pay for the replacement of the part up front at Fore travel or HWH and have it shipped directly to you if that works..
Thanks for any help or if anyone has another idea of where to get this part as I am in a pickle.. Bought the RV in JUne and only have been able to use this thing 4 weekends so far.. Rv repair places have not been kind..
If this is in the wrong section plz move and accept my apology .. thanks
Have you also checked with MOT parts? I thought someone had posted that they sometimes keep slide bladders on hand.
Calling now.. Good Idea
Update .. they are waiting also!!
David, worst case scenario is have them put it back with old bladder, shut air to bladder off, seal (tape) around outside slide and go like that.i know it's a pain leaving the bedroom slide in but can be done. If this is a bad idea someone here will let you (me) know.
I tried that for a little while before and we ended up in a rain storm and flooded the coach flooring.. Dont want to chance that again after we have had the fixes taken care of..
Pretty sure the new bladder will require new manifold to match .
I would try Hwh , explain coach is in bits etc .
Sorry can't be more help
Just an off the wall thought , get part number from Hwh , then maybe ask who they supply with same bladder and manifold , prevost dealers ??
Transwest ????
You are correct,, new manifold is a must with a bladder replacement. Manifold i a little over $600.00 ea plus install
Why a new manifold ?
It has a valve in it now so that the air that was pulled out cant return to soon
Just had our living room slide and manifold replaced.
Seal. $1380
Manifold $ $340
Total inc fitting etc $2818
Local Transwest quoted $7k labor plus parts ! Hence we drove to HWH !
HWH quoted $600.00 for the manifold and 7-800$ for the bedroom bladder.. Foretravel was $900 and change for the bedroom bladder
Why the discrepancy in prices I wonder
No idea !
I did find Hwh to be refreshingly honest and helpful, recommend them .
Everyone I have talked to has been helpful ..hwh,FOT and MOT.
Use the right kind of tape and make sure to spend extra time at the top of the slide opening to keep the water out.
