Title: Parking Brake indicator on when brakes applied..Why?
Post by: Rwf642 on October 20, 2016, 01:27:58 pm
Hello all!  Just purchased a NEW 1986 Grandvilla and am trying to figure out its idiosyncrasies  :  I noticed the parking brake indicator light comes on when the brake pedal is depressed. This seems odd, brakes feel good when stopping. It has been sitting for a while maybe something tight or out of adjustment.  It has airbrakes and the pressures build at a fairly quick pace.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.  I have tried to search the threads for a similar problem but have not had much luck.  These forums are new to me so it may be my lacking the right search terms. Thanks for your views.

Just an idea that may not be correct. Is there a bad ground and possible feedback involved??

Welcome to the forum, mossbacks!  Jeez, "Fox Island" , do you have to book the whole ferry to get the coach back and forth?  I'm going to assume you have a 36 footer? A pic of the p. brake switch on the dash would help. Does the warning light come on when the coach fires saying the PB is on, and go out when de-activated, and then come on again when the brakes are applied?
