For those of you that have installed a tankless water heater are wondering:
What brand did you install and,
Are you happy with it?
No - not for us. Our AH works fine. We have a friend that is considering one. I have searched our forum and have seen a number of threads/comments but do not see results.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you. :)
Have had a Girard for over 5 years and love it, endless hot water, the only way to go.
We have a Precision Temp and love it. 5 1/2 years into it we got wasps in the burner and had the factory clean it and reset everything. Wouldn't have anything else. Got a rebuilt Precision Temp for sale. Has the high wind kit and cold weather kit. Used about two weeks while waiting for ours to be rebuilt. We paid $850 for the rebuilt and think it is worth it. Interested? I'll pay shipping.
I bought a tankless and was going to install it, then the RV repairman said that I might want to reconsider some factors before installing it. He said that the water flow lines were tiny and that hard water, water w/ calcium and other elements could stop it up. He said if I still wanted to install it he would recommend a heavy duty filter ahead of it. I opted to not install it and bought a new Atwood 3 way instead. I had a Rheem tankless at home and we loved it. I would appreciate input from those with experience with the tankless in a MH. I am looking for a used Aqua Hot when the piggy bank can loan me some Coach Bucks.

We have a Girard Water Heater GSWH 2. DIY installed in March, DW loves IT. Using a lot less propane.
Thanks for your responses. :)
I've been looking into a class b as a second RV. Winnebago is using units from Truma. Travatos come with a Truma Combi, which is like an electric-propane aquahot for water and heat. They also sell a mostly tankless water heater that installs in place of a 6 or 10 gallon water heater. Look like good units.
