Greetings assembled Foretravel sages and scholars. We are looking to do an inspection of a Foretravel which is currently at MOT for some work prior to our purchase. I know only what I have learned here from aforementioned sages and scholars, and though my reading comprehension is good my wrenching skills are mediocre; thus I need an expert. I know of Brett Wolfe, have corresponded with him awhile back, and he comes recommended very highly indeed by esteemed members of this forum. Also I have seen mentioned another gear head who works at MOT I believe, also highly recommended, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten. I am buying from an individual and we expect to do the deal as soon as MOT and the inspection is completed. It occurred to me it might be extremely convenient to have the MOT wrencher do the inspection since The coach will be there and I can't see any conflict of interest. BUuuuuut I have been known to be wrong before. comments or any advice on this inspection Would be greatly appreciated, either here or PM. Please keep in mind that besides having the coach inspected I am very keen on following around the inspector, taking notes, pics and in general soaking up all I possiblycan. So the learning experience is just as important to me as the inspection of the coach. Thanks in advance.
See if forum member Brett Wolfe is available. I scheduled my purchase around his availability. It is the best money I spent.
Edited to add, I think it's a good idea to have an unbiased inspector like Brett, He doesn't have any skin in the game.

The name if the individual at MOT is Keith Risch (pronounced 'rich'). He is very competent and allows you to follow him through the process. Highly rcommended.
Keith Risch is the Foretravel guru at MOT....he has been a HUGE help to me.....he is highly recommended.
Check with Xtreme Paint and Graphics (936.560.5888) to see if Rance can take a look at the fiberglass. He is good, very good. Brett will look at everything with an independent eye. Keith R will do a good job too.
Keith is fair and honest. Saved us almost $20,000.00 ultimately. Think the owner accepts him doing these inspections on potential sales as he is also fair and honest. JMHO
Then Brett is definitely your guy. Even if this coach is not the one for you, you will learn much from the experience that will help in your continued search.
Good luck,
Trent
I went with Brett 10 months ago on a private purchase and he does take you with him as he goes through the unit. Ours took over three hours. I set our purchase date around his availability and purchased when he declared good bones. Were I to do it again I would use Brett and then take it to MOT, FOT for initial work needed/required before hitting the road.
Thanks all for your advice and comments.
Call me in Nac if need. Get Risch.

Michael, I got a moment just now to type ...helped the owner when they bought that coach. Honest good people. I would not hesitate a moment to buy it but no one can promise a coach never or not soon have an issue, just so many parts! But you cannot find better people wanting to do right with everyone they deal with in life
Enjoy the coach
Mike
