Title: Need an air control device
Post by: MichaelU295 on November 14, 2016, 12:42:48 pm
Where can I buy an air control device as in my attached picture?  It locates right at the most front air tank.  The gauge shows 60.  I thought it should show 120 as in the dash instrument.

Please tell me what does it do? I hear air escape hissing sound at the knob.

Thanks,
Michael

It is an adjustable air pressure regulator, similar to what you can find at Lowes or Home Depot. You can also get one at Napa... They are basically the same as what you find on air compressors. Many have used the big box store versions with success. They are a fairly common source of leaks on our coaches and there are typically several of these. They would include the step, the step cover the front and rear air tanks.

I believe That is an air pressure regulator, could be for the step, step cover or front airbags. The pressure is set at 60 or so to keep from damaging components. You can get some cheep ones at the big box home improvement stores on the air tool section or the more expensive ones from truck parts places.

Use your old gauge with this exact replacement;

SMC AR20-N02-Z Regulator, Relieving Type, 7.25 - 123 psi Set Pressure Range,... (http://www.amazon.com/SMC-AR20-N02-Z-Regulator-Relieving-Type/dp/B007HC1S32)

That looks like the air pressure regulator for the front HWH manifold.
Less weight to lift so they regulate the air pressure on the front so both ends of the coach rise at the same rate.

Thank you all.  Great info.  Picked up a heavy duty mini air regulator (pic) crossed reference to the existing one from a local FleetPride.

Thanks,
Michael
