Title: 1994 U300 repair recommendation in central Florida
Post by: Jon H on November 22, 2016, 04:26:57 pm
Hi All,

My neighbor has just returned from his latest trip with new battle scars. Required repairs are almost all fiberglass work plus new headlight, docking light, fog light, all on passenger side. Damage appears limited to lower right side portion of the front cap. There is about 24" of front cap to body separation beginning in the right side wheel well.  He's already spoken with Camping World and "Brian's ", an RV repair facility on rt. 27 about 5 miles south of rt. 60.  Wondering if our forum members have any other recommendations or cautions regarding competent repair facilities in central Florida.  Please respond directly to Dick Hoezel at the following email  address    "  Maggiesden29@aol.com  "  or post on the forum and I'll see that Dick gets your message.

Thanks to all - as usual :-)

Jon

Don't know anything about those places, but there are a few horror stories about work done at camping worlds.I think I would
seriously consider going to NAC to get that type of work done.

Camping World locations generally aren't qualified body shops.  Great for buying potty chem, hoses, etc., but not a place I would take any coach for any form of service.  Not sure I would go to a generic "RV service" shop for fiberglass work, either.

Parliament comes to mind as a Foretravel-familiar shop.  There are also a couple of body shops listed on http://rvservicereviews.com/StateList.asp?state=FL

....drive by this place every time I go see Gary & Sandy O... Creative Coach Collision Repair and Design Center in Lakeland, FL is an... (http://www.creativecoach.com) ...they do amazing paint & body work....drove by the other day & there were about 6 beautiful (finished) coaches out front....they are always busy.  It is right off of I-4 at exit 38 (Polk City exit)....just north of the freeway.

Sounds like a great opportunity to do a headlight upgrade as the lower front cap is replaced.

Do they do headlight upgrades on Grand Villas? Anybody have pictures of Grand Villas that have had headlight upgrades?
