I've got an appointment at MOT to repair both bulkheads. Can I ask anyone that's had that work done there for your opinion of the work. It would be really great if you could share some photos. Thanks.

Two coaches for sure at Bernd's. Both subsidized by insurance carrier.
I can tell you that Foretravel doesn't sell the "kits" to repair them anymore. ( not that it's relevant to your question, just sayin ).
Is Foretravel still using the huck bolt system as opposed to "nuts and bolts?" What technique does MOT use?
Subsidized by insurance ? How's that work?
The bulkhead damage was deemed to be caused by leaks, and as such was covered by the insurance company - Bernd can give you more info - but I suspect it was considered water damage under the comprehensive coverage. I am aware that Bernd did two this year (maybe more) and those two had significant insurance reimbursement.
Bernd likes to take out the entire basement floor and make a new one. BIG JOB!!! Much of the metal in the ones I saw replaced did not seem to be too damaged, not sure if the framework could have been removed and the damaged tubes replaced without making an entire new basement frame.
There is no need to replace the entire basement framing. Any real shop with a 4post lift can cut out and replace the bad framing...weld in new stuff. A pit would work as well.
A guy with a 40' GV had his bulkhead repaired at a truck shop. I think total bill was like $3-4k.
Wayne at FT did my front bulkhead. He did a excellent job. He does not allow anyone in where he works. Service does allow watching, but not Wayne. I have no problem with him not allowing me to watch. I only wish that I was closer to Texas but I guess it saves me money.
Wait, what?!? You guys got a new coach!!! We wanna see pics! Are you guys going to be in Texas soon? We are actually in Nacogdoches right now getting repairs done. Would love to see you guys if you're gonna be here in the next few days. :)

Sorry John, I have first dibs. ^.^d
LOL....I don't know if you would want it back. It's gotten about 10 years of wear in one year, two for each boy living in it ;D Maybe not that bad...but we haven't really changed anything since we bought it from you guys except adding this IKEA setup on the backsplash in the kitchen. This backsplash is still one of my most favorite parts of the coach. <3

Guys,
Let's try to get this thread back on the original topic-- how MOT repairs bulkheads.
Thanks.
Is anyone willing to share the details of how MOT performs bulkhead repairs and how much they charge? Thanks in advance!
David,
I have no information onForetravel factory's latest bulkhead repair procedure (if indeed it is any different than the older "huck bolt" repair).
But, in terms of cost, really no way to give a "here is what it costs".
Really dependent on what needs to be done:
Are one or two bolts broken and beam straight and rust-free?
Beam somewhat rusted, requiring removal of all bolts, cleaning the "joint" and reassembling?
Box beam rusted to the point where it has lost structural integrity and has to be cut out and new one welded in place.
Box beam structure forward of bulkhead rusted to the point where it has lost structural integrity and MORE has to be cut out and rebuilt.
We have seen posts and I have personally inspected coaches with each one of these "levels" of problems.
