I am shopping for a new air dryer and a couple of questions came up. My 2000 U320 uses the DA33100 Pure Air Plus dryer, which I understand is no longer being made. There is a replacement (DA34100) avail. on EBay for $279 and I can get a remanufactured ("Like new", from Haldex) for about $20 less. I'm inclined to go with the new model, but am curious about why they changed it. Has anyone done research on this? If you have installed the new model, did you encounter any problems with putting it in (bracket fit, etc)?
Howdy Sven,
I don't know the differences between the Air Dryer models, but I want to be sure you know that re-mans are available for the DA33100s. I had this installed at MOT and they purchased from NAPA. Here's link to P/N.

Good Luck, Dave A
I have the Pure Air old type and continue to rebuild it myself. Parts are very available so have not considered the change. I believe there is only a bracket difference and all hoses hook up the same. ISTR

My air dryer is leaking at the bottom Not sure if its suppose to leak there or not (dont think so). It is at the very bottom valve? is that adjustable? paperwork says its for maintenance but I know nothing about it. thanks
Which Dryer do you have on coach?

We purchased rebuilt and installed about two years ago.
Haldex from NAPA. PN DA33100X Paid $180.00 after discount. The air dryer was on sale and had a 30% discount.
The removal and replacement was not difficult. Bill B and I did his one day and ours the next. Seems like there was one bolt that was tough to get to.

Good Luck - :D
Lot's of threads using Search.
I dont remember the number on it or if it had a number but my paperwork said Haldex and it looks just like this one
To answer the second part of your question:
Bolt for bolt replacement. We did move a couple of the fittings from the old to the new.
That canister looks longer than the one on Pure Air Dryer so maybe it is the new model.
The picture is small but if that is the pressure valve at bottom it is not in the regular location for the Pure Air either.

I do a total parts replacement in mine for $170 this includes the Turbo valve inside. Just the same as reman one.
I replaced mine a couple of months ago and it too was from NAPA with the same number and price as Carol & Scott's.
