Title: Atwood Ele. and Propane Water heater
Post by: Tom Endres on December 16, 2016, 11:56:30 am
When WH is in propane mode it will fire up from cold and run about 10-15 min and shut down with fault light.  Attempts to reset and restart works sometimes but usually not.
Could this be a bad circuit board, bad gas valve or a temperature limit switch ?
It works fine on electric.
Thanks in advance for any corrective ideas.

After following T-Man's link, troubleshooting and finding you need a new board, Dinosaur makes a reasonably priced replacement for most RV heaters, fridges, etc. It has a 10-20 second delay built in that caught me by surprise. I should have read the instructions better. :D

Finally, thanks for the trouble shooting guide T-Maan, it helped a great deal.
Found the gas regulator to be bad (allowing too much pressure into system) and bad circuit board.
Thanks again, sorry I took so long
