My coach came with the USB JB in it, but I've not used it, just putzed around a little. I downloaded the new version last night, and trying to set up new screens I've (so far) run across a couple of problems. I don't get an ambient temperature, and don't seem to get the recent MPG. I understand that these may not be available on my coach, but thought I'd ask.
Silly Question here but have you driven any miles since setting that up? This one is under "Tank minder Properties"

There is no ambient temperature if that means outside temperature. You can get oil, fuel, transmission, retarder, coolant and intake manifoled temps just for a start. Any of these will show up when the ignition is on without starting the engine. They should all read about the same without any external heat sources.
Other things like fuel used, recent mpg, instant mpg, miles to empty and more all depend on something happening so as John suggests you have to drive somewhere. The Tank Minder will pick up the miles as they are rolled up, the fuel as it is used, and calculates how many miles you have left before empty.
There is an instant mpg gauge and it shows right now at this instant how much fuel you are using in a second or so and the number of feet you have traveled and converts it to mpg. Coasting down a hill you will get hundreds of miles per gallon.
The recent mpg is more like a moving average. You might be going up a hill for a while and then down, maybe 50 moh and then 60 mph. And over a minute or so it averages out. So,it will change slowly.
The odometer (total miles) and total fuel and engine hours are stored in the engine computer and will be there right away.
Be sure you select an engine type file. Many folks load up,on the gauges first off. What you will find as you go along is that you will get what you need from a core set of gauges. Most look at it a lot at first. Keep,your eyes on the road!. What you need to know should be seen with just a glance. If something is red or yellow then it needs some attention. All green? Good to go.
