Outside temperature is 17 degrees F here near Philly. Just installed 8 temperature sensors around my non-winterized 1997 U270. The attached photo is a readout of 8 sensors connected to the Acurite smartHUB. Freaking awesome! Temperatures are a bit higher than I want, with the water bays reading up to 70 degrees F with my 400 watts of heat tapes and fans running full bore. I may have to find a way to throttle them back.
Temperatures can be monitored anywhere there is an internet connection. This is not an ad for Acurite, but they appear to have a very nice remote monitoring product. I will be receiving the water alarm sensor soon, so I can remotely monitor water leaks in the U270 AND my home using the same web page.
Agree. Your setup, nice as it is, would be overkill for us desert dwellers. Our coach, when parked, sits in our driveway so easily accessible. We own two of the kits linked below. I use one in the coach (remotes in wet bay (east end), wet bay (west end), and main center storage bay. The one in the house shows outside temps (front and back of house), and garage temp. Very good performance & quality for the price.

the lot where I store my coach says (free wifi) hope that means I can get a signal in the coach - this would be a nice add for my piece of mind.
I have been using a similar device for around 4 yrs now and seems to be working well. I just have 1 remote in the water bay and the inside coach temp. They are not wi fi but as I go into coach most days it takes only a second to see what is going on in the bay without opening the door to it. It is quicker doing that than turning on computor and as I hardly ever have my cell phone on the wi fi would not really be much use to me. I use this laptop a lot to read Forum and emails but definitly am not addicted to having a cell phone on. I do not use any of the facebooks or? as do not need to know what anyone is eating or doing at a particular time.

The down side is that the smartHUB has to be wired directly to an internet router. No wifi. However, when we are camping, I will have to buy another Acurite display station. One of the temperature sensors that has been outside my home for 5 years is usable by the smartHUB system. Nice.
We are going on a flying vacation and will not see our dear U270 for a week. It will give me great peace of mind to ensure no freezing of pipes is occuring.
I have been using the system for monitoring our bays. One in the manifold area with heater on opposite side in the wet bay, one in the lithium bay and one in the coach. In retrospect I wish I had purchased more capability i.e. more monitors. I know I can add them but I am having problems with the monitor reading the remotes as it constantly loses them. I am able to check the bays but what I was seeking was the history of highs and lows.
Tim, you have too many #s in your coach build info at bottom. I think the first digit 1 should be removed.

John,
It could be the previous owners Motorcade # rather than build #.

Updated the build number. It's interesting that in searching through 20 pounds of original documentation, no build number was shown. Finally got it from the data plate in the coach across from "Model", which included the number 3402, which I ASSUME is the build number. Even the model number shown on the data plate did not include the build number. Nowhere did it say what or where the motorcade number was. Since I am still a newbie, will you please give me a pass on this one? He he.
Tim,
You're getting closer, but that's still not correct. Our '93 coach build number is 4359, so your '97 number has to be "bigger" than that.
See the photos of my data plate below. In the "Model No" block, the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th places are my model number: 4359
Yours will be in the same location.

Reading the Vehicle Identification Number (http://beamalarm.com/Documents/vehicle_identification_number.html)
Tim,
That seems low. In the Model Number it is F for Foretravel, then two digits for the year and then four digits for the bulid number.
Got it now: 5140. Thanks for yoir guidance.
Tim you should also have build # under the lift up dash cover (at least I do). It may be inside/under various cabinets etc around coach.
