I'm looking for some help ID'ing several sensors on this 8.3. The first two photos show two mounted on the pax side at about mid-point. (That white circle is the secondary fuel filter.) One looks like it's an oil sender. I'm soaking them with penetrating oil. They were dry. Anyone happen to know what these are?
The third photo shows one I found today on the driver's side. It's right between the oil filter and the starter. It looks like some kind of water sender. One of the wires was detached. The dash water temp gauge is working. Anyone have an idea?
Thanks.

It looks to me that it might be over heat warning sensor. Its a good thing to have hooked. If you hook it up and you get the warning
light coming on when your gauge indicates you are ok put a higher temp sensor in.
The other 2 sensors disconnect them and see what happens with your gauges and that might let you know. 2 people would help
As for the two that are on the pax side, the larger one looks like an oil pressure sending unit for the dash gauge.
The other looks like an oil pressure switch used for the hour meter - probably switches at something like 5-10 psi (should be below min. oil pressure at idle when engine is hot).
Those switches are also sometimes used to tell the transmission computer that the engine is running. I had the one on my coach fail by not breaking the contact when the engine was turned off (and ignition was off too). The transmission touch pad stayed lit and the hour meter kept running. Didn't figure it out for a week.
Thanks to you both. Sounds right to me and (hand slapping forehead) great idea to simply unplug them!

I cannot say with certainty but that "water sender" looks a lot like a dual purpose temperature sender that I had on a previous coach. One connector is a "standard" temp sender that goes to the temp gauge on the dash. The second connector is a high temp sender that goes to an idiot light on dash and is typically set to light up several degrees before the ECU would degrade or shut down the engine. Assuming these are VDO components, there should be a model number stamped into the hex base that you could reference in their catalog.
I removed both of these sending units today. The larger one is as JohnF suspected as indicated by the numbers on the attached wires. They are for the oil pressure gauge and the dash light.
The other one I haven't been able to identify. John's probably got that one right too. I am going to try and get new ones from Cummins. Failing that, maybe Foretravel. Anyhow, the wires on the smaller one are numbered 010 and 002C. Can't find either in my 8.3 wiring table.

Finally got new oil pressure sensors installed. They are located on the pax side of the 8.3. The photo of course is looking up from the ground. The one on the left (rearmost with green arrow) is for the dash gauge and warning light. It has three wires attached: EL2 goes to the "G" terminal for the gauge. The other two wires, B72 and E32 control the oil pressure light.
The other sensor, I think, is for the remote start oil light or engine hour meter. The numbers on the wires don't match the factory numbering scheme. They are 010 and 002C.
