Title: Mouse Emitter Question
Post by: Travelin' Man (RIP) on January 07, 2017, 05:05:07 pm
I need to stick the emitter itself back on a new component, and I don't have any extra adhesive that came with the Xantech package, so I'm not sure what to use.

Can I stick it on with a thin film of clear silicone or does it require me calling Xantech for special stuff?

I used double sticky back foam and attached to the wire while centering the sensor.

C-Man,
Do you mean the tape is on the wire near the emitter holding the emitter in place, with no adhesive on the emitter itself?

Got it stuck on with silicone, no problem, thanks.

Well Larry and Stump, now that I know what it is not and I know what it looks like, what is its real purpose in life?

One end Kinda looks like something that is attached to the front panel of one or two components in in my cd, dvd, etc cabinet....forget which component(s).

IR emitter cables are wired transmitters that broadcast infrared (IR) signals and commands from a remote to an external audio or video device. These cables can be used to control a stereo system's volume remotely or to share a Blu-ray player's display with screens in separate rooms, etc.
