Hi
I'm new to this forum. Please bear with me when I ask "dumb" questions. I am presently considering purchasing a Foretravel as my next RV. I presently own a 2002 Holiday Rambler Imperial. My DW and I are 65 years old and want this to be the final Motorhome that we purchase (hopefully?). Target Budget is $150K to 225K. 3 or 4 slides. Tag axle. AquaHot heat. Dislike double couch layouts( I understand this can be changed). These factors mean that I am looking at 06 to 08 Nimbus or an older coach, I think.
I'm looking for information.
1. A website that has historical brochures and information on the Foretravel models.
2. A website that would have information on how Foretravels are constructed.
Welcome to the forum, I've asked plenty of dumb questions myself in my short time as a member. So far I haven't been scolded too heavily, so that is a good thing.
This is completely hearsay, but based on what I have read on the forum: If that were my budget and wants list, I would probably consider looking at 2003 U320 and adding an aesthetic makeover (if exterior appearance were important to me).
Barry and Darlene Brideau's Personal Website (http://www.beamalarm.com/) is your most comprehensive FT info source - although you'll find information elsewhere in pieces as well.

This forum would be the only one I'd look at, though we bought this coach on RV Trader, which is a cool site. A coach for sale in NAC at MOT or FT would be worth looking at, as well. The bottom line, even for a fresher coach you're looking for, is (A) Try to meet the owner, you'll get a feeling for the "cut of his jib". (B) Most important, IMHO, is "paperwork, paperwork and more paperwork".
We paid 10 CBs ("coach bucks"= $1,000 big ones) more than market for ours because of the paperwork and knowledge of the previous owners. Don't start looking for "low-ball" coaches, do the research. These coaches are the finest and best, but like anything else in life, if not taken care of, they're junk! Good luck, take your time, stay in touch. ^.^d
Thanks for the quick replies. It looks like I have some info to work with. Thanks, I'll stay in touch. I'm sure I'll have additional questions
We began to research FT on the old Yahoo Group and soon discovered the wonderful people who would answer all the dumb questions we had with incredible knowledge of these wonderful coaches.
There are some really good coaches out there that are worth putting a few coach bucks in to get them like you want. You will find the one that calls your name.
After several years of studying Foretravels, my wife and I decided a bit older U320 that is well maintained offers more for the money than a Nimbus or Phenix.
Others opinions may differ.
