..... flushing with a hose down the dryer vent.
WOW! What a difference.
This is our first combo W/D. We understood that the drying time would be longer than a residential model. We didn't know how long. Over time (due to lint build up) we began to get shut downs with the lights flashing. I researched, found the flush procedures, performed the flush procedures. The shut downs and flashing lights stop for a while. We've been doing this for months. I'm referring to filling the washer on wash cycle #11 and switching to cycle #2.
Then I googled other forums and found that others have used a garden hose pushed into the dryer vent. (remove the vent cover). Got quite a bit of lint back inside the washer. We can not believe the difference. We didn't know how poorly our Splendide was performing. Our clothes are drying so much faster now.
Hope this helps someone else.

I adding to this post so my statement above doesn't cause someone more harm than good. My unit does not have "Dryer Vent Hose" from the back of the washer to the outside vent. It is pushed right up to the outside wall and the outside vent. Others do have a silver Vent Hose. When I pushed the garden hose into the outside vent hole it entered directly in the washing machine.
I think machines that have the silver vent hose would just fill the hose with water and do more damage than good. There would be a PO owner if this happened. And I do not mean Previous Owner when I say PO.

I pull the washer/dryer back from the wall, remove the vent hose, remove the plastic cover, and use very long needle nose pliers to pick out the lint. One to two times a year does the job.
We use ours extensively as full time RVers. We also run the rinse cycle recommended by Splendide to flush out lint on occasion.
Flush: Drier minutes to zero, fill on #11 until water stops, then complete on cycle #2 until it finished.
I have the 2100XC hooked up to the higher on the wall stacked, stacked type, dryer vent. Splendide said no problem doing this, just be sure to check vent hose twice a year and do "flush" as in instructions and AC7880 post.
