Title: Noisy microwave
Post by: morninghill on February 11, 2017, 08:31:05 pm
Replacing our microwave with a new Sharp 1874. I recall a previous post or photo series where a member had FOT? Modify the vent to eliminate/minimize the flapping in the wind.

I can't find that old post. Have reviewed many threads but no luck. If anyone can point to it, many thanks. If you could also show the search query, perhaps I could learn better how to help myself.

Thanks

Solved - as usual, Michelle had the answer, found the post.

Thanks

Mike, can you share that link? And give us a step by step on how you replace the microwave. I know it is only a matter of time when we will need to do that.
Thanks,
Dick

Here is our story on how we changed our original microwave to a new Sharp microwave:

Dick

Sent you a pm.

Embarrassed to say David Flanagan will be doing the step by step at FOT. We did this ouselves on our SOB but didn't have the flap issue. The mounting plate part number is the same on the current one and the new one, should be straightforward.

Will post follow up info.
