Title: Removing Switches from the Foretravel Dash
Post by: TulsaTrent on February 19, 2017, 04:04:41 am
Howdy, Y'all!

I am trying to remove one of the switches from the Foretravel dash panel. I am squeezing (with my fingers) the spring steel forks on the top and bottom of the switch. I can get it to move out a little bit, but when I let go, it snugs up to the dash panel again.

What is the secret of success when the other switches and doodads keep you from getting a good grip on it?

Thanks,

Trent

@TulsaTrent did you ever figure this out?  Apparently this really is a secret.  :help:

I'm trying to remove the ether start switch, I was able to wiggle the light bulb portion out but I can't figure out how to get the switch to release from the dash.

Must be a secret alright, when attempting removal the dash switch fall apart and lots of little balls inside that make it work fell out. Silly me.

Douglas,

No; I finally gave up and replaced the original wiring.

Good luck,
