The last Phoenix is in final stages, and it was setup and designed for wheelchair access.
45' Realms with inboard airbags, and IH45s with out board airbags were on the line.
No more in house chassis builds in future, as discussed elsewhere on forums.
More photos factory tour 2/20/17
Neat !
Thanks for sharing with us.

It's always interesting to see how things are built...thanks for sharing!

Really enjoyed seeing the pictures! Thanks!
Great photos! I sure would like to have that battery bank in our old beater!
I'd settle for that engine and transmission in our old '89!! WOW, wheelies!! Smoke the tires!! Climb mountains like we were on the prairie!! Big, big fuel bills!! But lots of fun!!
During the tour they also said the tag axles no longer lift. They do dump pressure though, to reduce scrubbing and improve turning radius.
So.... No more Nimbus or Phoenix coaches, IE; nothing less than a 45' GeeWhiz pavement only Showboat with 3, 4 or 5 slides....Wonderful..... or am I missing something?
That is correct, at least for now. "Maybe" they will develop a smaller coach of some type in the future. It was all hush hush with no details. May or may not happen
I would almost bet that you, as an owner, were never
asked your opinion of what kind of coach you would
like to see??? Most of us are not the future buyers,
kind of sad.
Carter-
Carter, FT is building for the market they chose to pursue. And it may not be most of us. Find the coach that is out there that is the best fit for you and keep it running forever. I haven't seen more than a few coaches newer than ours that we would trade up to. We are in this one for keeps and happy to have it.
Thanks Dan for the look-see. We did the tour a couple years ago but it would be interesting to see it again with the Spartan chassis.
The next time we are in Nac (this spring) want to take the tour, didn't have time the last go around.
