What product do you use for battery terminal corrosion protection. I don't care much for the old red or yellow stuff that gets hard, too many problems getting connections back apart.

This is from a friend in Minneapolis, Minnesota who works on municipal vehicles and recommends Super Lube;
FWIW, eventually the oil will separate from whatever the other concoction is. Takes ~ a year or so, maybe two. When I do connections, esp grounds, I disassemble them, clean well w/a stainless toothbrush & then brakeclean. Coat everything, assemble & tighten. Recoat the assembly w/a large thick glob-like coat. Looks like hell, but keeps everything out of the connection. Eventually the coating will start to 'dry out' & crack, but underneath will be pristeen, & the outer coating can be wiped off & recoated w/o disassembling the connection. Usually. Do NOT get this stuff on your clothes that get washed in the home washer - it'll transfer to washer & then to other clothes. A good brakeclean is about the only thing I've found to get it off of skin, clothes, etc. It is messy, but worth the result.
It's what we use for electrical connections, esp hi-amp ones. I do like how it works. For all I know, there is a much better product out there, probably from SL itself. FWIW, the materials concerned include copper, tin, steel, aluminum, brass, & Stainless steel. & considering the road salt(s) include lot of magnesium cloride, along w/the usual suspects like dirt, diesel fuel, various oils, & anti-freeze(which is corrosive), the electrical connections' corrosion is really kept to a minimum, as long as the connection is fully coated. When it gets blown off by a pressure washer, you can really tell where it isn't/wasn't, although where it still is, is pretty un-corroded
Corrosion X. Works on lots more as well. One squirt bottle is all you need. Recommended by Rudy.
I don't use anything. I have wet cell batteries in a battery box. 6 years not a speck of corrosion. DWMYH!

Interesting a nickel solution to age old problem, have you had good luck with this, and how often do you apply? Maintenance personnel used to squirt a bit of mineral oil into plumbing fixtures traps that were prone to drying out due to evaporation. Oil would float on the top of the
water and prevent evaporation we now have $$$ high tech solutions endorsed by sun tan oiled government officials who have been enlightened by a 2 week seminar in Hawaii of the evils of oils in a sewer system. Just saying.

100% copper coating, used very widely by electrical industry.
Never any corrosion. I use it on every ground connection and the posts (terminals) mounted on frame for junction s of wiring. I actually also use it on bolt threads and no galling with it and rusting of threads too.

Firstly you have to understand what causes corrosion on the terminals. Gases from the cells reacts with the lead causing the buildup you see. If the battery compartment is well ventilated or you are using gel or AGM batteries you should not have corrosion, therefore no need for treatment. All a treatment does is form a barrier between the lead and the gasses.
