Title: 1997 U320
Post by: jelfert on March 23, 2017, 11:22:20 am
I purchased a 1997 U320 last month. I'm on the hunt for manuals. I searched this forum first.....and then called Foretravel. They were not much help. They guy that used to handle the older manuals no longer works there so they were not sure if they could help. I did get a free download of the Allison transmission manual, Aquahot manual and purchased the Cummins manual on ebay. Now I just need the Foretravel coach manual.

Does anyone have a copy they could part with? possibly on pdf.?

Thanks,

Jody

Where are you located?  Signature could have the info displayed.

Spent five years and lots of coach bucks going through ours.  Well worth the work IMO

Most storage made inside and out up to current multi slides 45's

Think the best way would be to meet someone with same coach and have a copy machine handy.

Jody,
For our 1998 U270 and also, now, for our 2002 U320, the FT Owner's manuals are a little larger than 100 single sided pages and the Appendix drawings (about 1/2 dozen are in 11"X17" foldouts) number about 30 additional pages.

It was no small task to convert and backup all to *.pdf format.  But that is less than half the story as the OEM owner's manuals for the other OEM installed components, are on the order of another 6" stack of manuals and manufacturer's instruction sheets/information.  For me, the complete data set, in *.pdf, OCR  searchable format, was well over 2 GB, compressed, in terms of file size.  Well worth the effort but very time consuming and required a tedious focus on task to accomplish.
HTH,
Neal

I have digital 97 electrical and air schematics.  These have annotations of the different coaches in that year.  You will need to pm me your email address as I can not attach them on the forum mail. 20 pages or so but small file.

George,

You should be able to attach to a post or upload to the Files Library in the Media section.  It's just the PM and e-mail tools that don't accept attachments.

Jody, Foretravel has been making mid model year changes, so one size does not fit all.  Sharing your build number, length, engine & floor plan may help find others that are similar to yours.  Wiring diagrams are much more helpful than user manual boiler plate, which say little.  Filter, belts & hoses are another important section to have.

I have a OEM black notebook and set of manuals for a 1997 U320. There is also a large pile of supplemental documents for the many subsystems in the coach. PM me and we'll talk about them.
