Post by: LRK on April 08, 2017, 08:30:39 pm
Supposedly there are water hook ups for a wash machine on our 1996 U295 CAI 36' have not been able to find them?  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

It would help to have a bit more info like length and layout.

With that said, in my '97, with walk-through bath, the washer water hook-ups are in the cabinet under the refrigerator in the galley.  The washer was installed in the bath on the other side of the pocket door wall from the fridge.

Hope that helps.

In our 99 U270 they were under the front closet in the bathroom. May be different on yours. Had to pull up the closet floor and just about everything we needed was under there. Did your unit have one originally?

In our 1996 U320, the water connections are under the fridge.

Try pulling out a few of the bottom drawers along the walls in/around the bathroom.  If you see piping where there is no sink/faucet, that's your ticket.

In my 98 320 the water line connections and electric plug for the washing machine are under the floor of the main cloths closet in the bathroom.  By pulling up the carpet a cut out with a finger hole is apparent.

If you have a louvered closet door, any hot, cold, drain plumbing & electric outlet will be next closet.  They have to be adjacent to washer dryer space, which are planned to be behind louvered doors.  Not all coaches are pre-plumbed.  Often there is also a through the outside wall dryer vent in place if washer was pre planned.

Thanks to all of you for helping us with our small dilemma of hooking up a washer dryer. We found the connections behind the toilet cabinet  under a false floor. Thank you again for the wonderful site.

Where are the washer/dryer hookups after it is installed. More importantly, how do  you remove the washer/dryer?

I opened the louvered doors, and the Splendide is right there; no room at the top, bottom, or sides. Do I have to remove everything from the upper cabinet, and then remove the bottom of that cabinet to access the washer/dryer?

What else do I have to remove and disconnect to remove the washer/dryer?

Thanks,

Trent

Hot, cold, drain & electric are probably in the next cabinet.  No connections are probably behind, below or above.  And washer probably does not have to be moved to access connections.

Is your Splendide in a lower louvered cabinet with another cabinet directly above it?  If so, remove everything from the upper cabinet, then remove the floor of the upper cabinet.  (And there may be a raised section in the upper cabinet, remove the cover on it if so).  That will give you access to water, drain, and power connections.

Splendide Removal (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=30104.msg260832#msg260832) has more info, and read post # 12 on that link.

Our 97 has a solid cabinet floor over the Splendide.

We remove the toe retaining rail and slide the unit out of its cabinet to access the machine end of the hoses.

Obviously every one is unique
