Title: Entry Light
Post by: GleamB on April 20, 2017, 11:49:39 am
I have been replacing my halogen bulbs with LEDs. I now want to focus on the fluorescents. I had found a very good source of replacement bulbs on ebay for the puck lights, and now need to find a source for the tubes. My question is....how do I remove the yellow plastic lens from the entry door? I see what could be a screw cover on each end, but I am reluctant to try and pry these off without knowing, for certain, that I won't regret doing so. I can't see any other way to remove it. I will contact the manufacturer, if no one here can help. Thanks, again.

Lens snaps into a groove.  Gently squeeze the lens and pull the top or bottom out of the groove. No need to remove screws.

I just use my fingers to pinch the lens on the top or bottom edge and pull out.  One of the edges is easier to do than the other.
Converting this fixture to LED has been document before on the forum.  The search tool is under the COMMUNITY tab on the left.

I didn't replace the fluorescents, rather installed two LED strips.
The fixture is really stuck on so I didn't remove it. Just worked from a ladder.

Very pleased

You won't find that to be the case very often! This place is great.  ^.^d

Glen, remove the forward cover on porch light then just slide plastic piece off. Very easy.
