Just got back from a visit to Old Town Motorhomes. Although the PO had taken very good care of the coach, I wanted to start off from " square one ", with all lubricants, filters etc. I knew about FOT and MOT, but learned about Old Town from this forum. I decided to bring my coach to them, based on the comments here and other considerations. I visited FOT during my stay, and took the tour. I also had a friend camped at MOT, having some work done there, and saw their facilities. There is nothing bad one can say about ANY of these operations. Size certainly comes into play, with FOT on top and Old Town being a smaller operation. MOT is in the middle. I have not had any personal experience with the " big boys", and perhaps someday I may have cause to schedule work there. I had a VERY positive experience at Old TOWN. The folks there have their roots in MOT and FOT, and because of their smaller size, you immediately get the feeling of very personalized service. I had some issues with my coach that they were able to remedy in a fair and professional manner. They were all very helpful in answering any of my many questions, taught me a lot about various systems, and fixed even minor hiccups without hesitation. I was able to stay in mh for the time I was there with no problem. The " other" guys have a little better accommodations, but, given time, I am sure Old Town will just get better and better. I felt very comfortable with the experience of the techs who worked on my rig and with the final costs for the work done to my mh. I concur with the others who have given a " thumbs up" to Old Town, look forward to working with them, again, in the future, and recommend that you give them a try when the opportunity avails itself to you. You will not be disappointed.

It happened up in northern Oklahoma as we were heading East, the driver's side windshield popped out of the gasket. I was in a panic mode. Made a call to all three facilities in Nacogdoches, Old Town Motorcoach answered the phone. I did receive callbacks from both FOT and MOT after I had an appointment with Old Town.
The plan was to replace the windshields when we arrived in two days, they were going to fit me into their schedule. The following afternoon after my arrival I was told that they could not replace my windshields as the nose of the coach was "loose" had some obvious delamination. I was told that they knew and understood exactly what needed to be done but they were not capable of doing the repair and referred me to FOT. Now some might be upset with that kind of news but I am not. They were up front with me let me park with a 30amp hookup for two nights. If someone cannot do a job because they don't have the facilities I much prefer to be told that they can't do it BEFORE they get elbow deep in the process and in my wallet. They get a good report card from me.
I have an appointment with FOT for October could have gotten in sooner but will be in Maine for the summer. That's as long as the windshield doesn't fall out. The plan is to get whatever needs to be done in October when we head back to NM. In the meantime we will be sticking to the smooth interstates. ::) I was going to get the windshield replaced four or five years ago as they are "smokey" (delaminated) around the edges but as that was the only issue that I was aware of I did not bother. Just another adventure.

Roland it is a good thing you do not have to travel through my home state of Illinois. Because the interstate roads are total bumps. If anyone is traveling south on I55; get in left hand lane before you get to Dwight, Ill. and stay there till after Pontiac,Il. Holes and bumps that can cause damage to tire and wheels. Ask me how I know?
And they are kinda hard on the 'roid's as well

Interesting thread. So I thought, I have been following Old Town and was excited to here positive reports. Then abruptly the thread shifted to pot holes and what lane to travel in to duct tape. Please, stay on topic. Congratulations to Old Town as I feel now they have a shot at some of my CB'S. David
Actually, the thread is easy to follow and on topic! Tape to hold the windshield in until a fix and potholes to be avoided with the temporary tape fix. Some of the thread deviations make me think I'd dozed off and hit button that had completely change the topic and even the message board.
