Hey!
A while ago, I had asked for some advice regarding a 1993 GV. That I was looking at.
First, thanks to all for the advice offered. I took your comments to heart and used them when I did a second look at the rig yesterday.
We found a couple of issues that the dealer is taking care of and with luck shortly I'll be officially taking possession on my "new to me" home.
I'm so freaking excited!
We created a monster as far as this board is concerned, I think I'm a 'gonna be asking for lots of advice!
And it only gets better as time goes on!
Congratulations! How about adding the coach model, engine to your personal info? There are an incredible number of posts now so it makes getting info easier if members can quickly see the coach information. Photo would be good when you have a chance. Looking forward to helping if we can.

Our honey gives her best to your honey. As mentioned, get your sig squared away down below. ^.^d
I think you are gonna be so happy you didn't get a cookie cutter coach. I am also glad I am no longer the noobest noob.
Seems like we are getting one new "noob" almost every day.
These "Prince Charmings" are finding their Sleeping Beauty and bringing her back to life with loving care. Not bad for old girls!!
Welcome to the Misfit Band of Foretravel ownership... ;)
Congrats- hope to cya down the road ^.^d
When you said, "I'm so freaking excited" brought a smile to my face.
I don't think there is anyone here that has not shared that feeling with you.
Congrats and hope the coach makes for many years of excitement for you.
Carter-
I am so pleased with the fit and finish. That's something I'd NEVER find on a mass produced unit!
Is it silly that we named her already?
Flopsie, I promise to hold the noobie mantle high!
My honey gives it right back to yours.
So,
Ummm,
Who's gonna demonstrate how to empty my black tank? :D O:)
Buehler?
Anybody?
Oh, Get a barn, Honey!
Like Carter, I liked your "excited" comment, too. These things are amazing. Every so often, you remember how much thought and skill went into the build. Luckily, I got to look in a bunch of nice Foretravel coaches and each time we see something "new." What fun!
Welcome. Floor it
You can't just say you picked a name without telling what it is.
Naming your coach is an important part of the process.
Dumping the black water tank is no big deal. Find a dump. Take out your drain hose
put it in the dump, hook the other end to your hook up on the coach, I like to grain
the black water tank first, then drain the gray water tank (that will help clean the hose)
then I turn on water in the house and flush the commode, to help clean the the tanks.
Be sure the valves are closed tightly, then remove the drain hose. A pair of gloves are nice.
When I unhook the drain hose I like to take a water hose (not the one for drinking water) and
rense the drain hose out and put it away. Check to see that no drain valves are dripping later.

Alice.
We named her Alice. No, not after that famous resturant. Here's the abridged version.
Alice is a bastardized take off for the Latin name for "moose". Why moose you ask? Good question. Glad you asked. First, we're getting her from a place called "Big Moose RV". Good reason, but not spectacular. On the way home the day we found her, we were moose hunting (NO with a camera!) and, yup, we found one. A yearling it appears that hung around for quite a while posing for us. So, we're taking that as a sign. That's our story and we're sticking with it.
Along with signs, here's another one. All day Monday, I was teasing my wife, telling her what a heck of a mother's day present she was getting, even if it was late. As she was digging around in the co-pilots area what did she find?
Yup, a mother's day card for the previous owner stashed away.
Two signs. Someone's telling us something.
Carter-I can tell you're the literal on in the group. Thanks for the instructions. I WAS hoping for a personal demonstration. *
* Warning - I tend to be snarky. More so when I feel more and more comfortable with any group. Any and all future snarky comments (such as the above) can be relieved with a large grain of salt. Or an adult beverages. Your choice.
Well. I can get serious every now and then, most of the time I post things to make everyone smile.
If you can make just one person smile and even better laugh everyday you have made a good
contribution to this other wise mundane world. I think I can tell you that when we voted we decided
to keep you. You seem like a pretty good egg and we need all of those around here we can get. People
take things far too serious at times, these days. Keep the snarks rolling. I now know how to deal with you.........

Not the victorian pre-teen or the waitress in Pheonix either.
An excellent name, and all those coach omens just mean it was serendipity.
My friends are trying to talk me out of naming mine Dreadnaught.
"Alice, Dallas Alice". (From one of my favorite road songs, "Willin") ^.^d
Carter- you voted to keep me?
I'm sorry
Grab a DVD of "RV" with Robbin Williams. Lots of tips on dumping black tank among other things...
