Title: No power to any HWH
Post by: Retired Navy Chief on June 18, 2017, 12:34:18 pm
None of the lights are on in any of the 3 HWH plexiglass boxes in either shore or Genset power.  Started coach and Both slides work in and out properly. Leveling pad shifts to travel mode and back to level. Transmission shifts to D and R properly. I'm confused.  David

DavidS, you are more than welcome. Played around with them with no positive results.

Check for blown fuses in each box.  Check for 12V at the power connector for each box.  If they follow the normal HWH wiring convention and have 3 or more wires, the "red" wire is hot all the time, and the "yellow" wire is hot with ignition on.  If you don't have 12V at the power connector, then consult your 12V wiring diagram to find the fuse or circuit breaker controlling that circuit.  Check the breaker for 12V on both sides.  If the fuse/breaker is "open" either reset or replace it.

I don't think that having shore power or generator power have any effect on the hwh boxes. They are 12 volt and you should see lights on if you run the level system or use the slide rooms. They must be working or else the slides would not work. They only come into play with going into gear if the slides are extended.

Hi Ron, i just turned the ignition switch on and walla lights are on.  I thought those were always powered for some reason.  When I was in the bay yesterday I noticed no lights.  Thank you, David

Just spoke with James at FOT.  He informed me the there is a time delay that is designed to save power. That is why I did not see power until the key was on or system was active.  Thanks again for this wonderful forum and factory support thru Motorcade Club. David
