Title: Koni Shocks
Post by: Travelin' Man (RIP) on June 22, 2017, 12:06:53 pm
I can't bring up the Beam Alarm web page but other places I've read that for '96 - '04 FT's without a tag axle the Koni shock number is 8805 1010, and for the tag itself Koni 8805 1011.

Are all 8 shocks on 1996 - 2004 FTs the same without a tag axle?

Thanks Bob.  I'm going to order 8 of the 8805 1010's.

This is confusing;  http://www.shockwarehouse.com/index.cfm?mode=results&selected_model=30520&selected_year=2003

A quick search of the forum says "yes"

Are the rear of the Oshkosh 917, the same as the fronts?  Those cheap ebay Bilsteins are sweet on the front but I haven't got back under the rear to get a good look. I would hope that the rates are higher in the back .

The 250 cat ored shocks were too soft. The 300 cat later shocks were too stiff.  I swapped them. Fixed.  Thirty years ago,

Bilstiens always seemed soft.

Regular Gabriel's which I think were the oem might be available still.  Think I saw them somewhere

If your shocks are 16" long with 1" pins Gabriel shows a gas shock for the Oshkosh

89422 GasSLX Shocks

Look  in their commercial listings.
