Has anybody here run a line from the auxiliary compressor purge valve to allow moisture to be vented outside the electronics bay?
I don't think that there is that much moisture in the pop off.
How does the purge valve get triggered? My bowl has a small amount in the bottom
It's a normally open solenoid valve that closes when the compressor comes on and provides 12VDC to the solenoid.
Make sure that the two small wires that come from the Solenoid at the bottom of the clear bowl are attached and have 12vdc. Every time the Aux Comp cycles that Solenoid will "Pop-Off" expelling what little moisture is in the bottom of the clear bowl. I thought about running a line too but have not done so yet. I removed that solenoid, took it apart, cleaned it out, re-installed and it worked just fine. :)
I always thought this solenoid served more as an unloader for the compressor.
I have never noticed much moisture exhausting into that bay, don't know why? Maybe I never looked for it.... We do get moisture in the rest of the filters and have to replace the desiccant periodically.

Our purge valve has tubing that runs thru the floor to the outside.
Bob - How's that working?
