I am new to posting and navigating forum.
I would appreciate conversation with anyone who has completed a carpet replacement in the bedroom slide.
Thanks

in the closet or the actual room? Closet just lifts up (pretty much).. Once you get it started you will remove it pretty easy. Bedroom.. I had wood put in but I wasnt there for removal
In the actual room.
I replaced our bedroom carpet back in 10/15 after replacing the floor between the bed and slideout..
We replaced our bedroom carpet. The coach had a bed slide so it was easy to go around. Do not get rid of the padding. It is special heat and sound deadening and cost over 100 dollars a foot now.
Pete,
Are you asking if anyone has done it, or if they have done it themselves as opposed to having a shop do it?
I suspect the latter. John S had his done by FOT.
Just had ours done this May by a friend, who is a professional floor installer. He was going to " seam" pieces around the bed. I requested he cut it out of " one" piece. He took measurements, made a sketch, cut the carpet outside of the coach, installed it over the existing pad, trimmed it.....came out PERFECT !! Labor and materials should cost around $500 to $800. find a scrap piece of carpet and a guy who " moonlights ".
Thanks for the advise. I will be using s local carpet installer. Just hope he can handle the bonnet in the engine?
I am always surprised at what they handle.. I have seen some magic worked in some areas when I have had floors done.. Good luck and post some pics and a write up on how to
FOT did mine. Tip: as John S points out, sound deadening pad expensive. David Flanagan suggested leaving it down and adding a layer of conventional padded.
Inexpensive and luxurious.
DIY or professionally installed, consider this option
Thanks
