Title: AquaHot Maintenance
Post by: Wattalife54 on July 26, 2017, 10:31:37 am
For those who do their own maintenance be sure to inspect the fit up on the Air Swirler/Swirler Housing assembly. I found that cast aluminum air swirler had warped, leaving a substantial gap/air leak in four places. This has apparently been a problem as the replacement air swirler is now cast iron.

Is the whole assembly now cast iron or just the swirler itself? I have some warpage but not as severe as yours. The stainless steel sleeve blocks most of the leakage.

Just replaced mine .. looked as bad if. It worse.. aqua hot worked flawless since I hade it 1.5 yes.. then it start having a hard time starting the last trip. Took 5 to 8 attempts. When it was in the shop they called and said that piece was really bad so I had them replace it.. turned out the brain box was bad at the same time.( little silver box). Replaced both pieces and had it cleaned and whatever else they do to tune it up. Works good now. Wallet is still sweating from that adventure

That control box, new, will make any wallet sweat. We have a commercial member who rebuilds them for less than half the price.
