Does anyone know what this sensor (picture attached) is for? It is on the left side of the front TV.

That is your IR control receiver lens.

That lens should hook into an IR repeater to make all of your remotes work with their components.

Saw that one and the one in the bedroom blink when I pushed the remotes... but what they did..... I didn't know.

Not sure, but work the same either way - at least on a 2003 U320.

Connected together on "99 also Can change DIRECTV channels from the bed with the door closed
