Title: Living room slide Hydraulic leak
Post by: DavidS on August 05, 2017, 09:21:17 pm
Can you tell me what this part is called? I need the seal or gasket that goes in the bottom.. This builds tremendous pressure when opening or closing the slide and it is leaking.. temp fix held for a few tries but its leaking and I need to get the correct part to repair it.. thanks

Where exactly is it leaking David? On one of the fittings or is that block cracked?

The hexagonal head screw where the drip is.. I replaced a rubber seal on the inside and wrapped the threads with plumbers tape (making sure it didnt mix with the hydraulic fluid).

Worked for a few tries.. I went out and cranked it down again and got a slight turn out of it so I will keep an eye on it to see if it fixed itself.. if not I will call hwh for the correct cure

A copper washer available at hardware stores might work. Hydraulic brake systems use them for seals.

I sent mine back to HWH. (It was R&R'd because of a leak. )They replaced all the gaskets /O rings for about $20 as I recall. Took about a week. I carry it as a spare now.
