Title: Delco remy wiring

Trying to get ready for hurricane,have the 28si alternator physically installed but waiting for new isolator,I have the old isolator
with no sense post,is there a way to get this to work to charge house batterys,gen not working?

The sense wire can be connected to the chassis battery lug of the isolator or any other location that is on the chassis battery side of the isolator.

And, in an emergency, you can easily bypass the isolator:

First, label all wires so they can be returned to their original location (or copy the labels already there from Foretravel).

Move ALL WIRES to one terminal (doesn't matter which one).  Now all batteries are charged, but until you disconnect them, all will discharge together.  If you have shore power, this is fine for as long as you need.
