In our 2003/295 the water pump is original from 2003. It is a RV Aquajet model number 5503-4v15-B636. It has been acting up. I wanted to buy a replacement. Remco e-mailed me back with a replacement part number, that is (55Aquajet-ARV (https://www.amazon.com/Remco-55-AQUAJET-ARV-Aquajet-Water/dp/B004RCSLFS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1503932657&sr=8-1&keywords=55Aquajet-ARV))
I read some of the reviews and I am concerned with it being to powerful. I have replaced the water pump on our previous FT with a Shurflo and liked it. I wonder if anyone of you have replaced a Aquajet/Remco water pump with a Shurflo brand. I am hoping to find a matching direct replacement.
Thank you,
AL
P-Man,
I have the 55 Aquajet pump per the PO and Tennessee RV. I had the same concern as you concerning PSI and I called
Remco about it. The tech rep told me that they worked closely with numerous RV manufacturers and for me not to worry.
You could always splice a water regulator into the system after the pump.
If you know or have also replaced it would you please share if replacing a variable speed 2003 Aquajet water pump without accumulator tank with a SHURflo 4008-101-E65 (https://www.amazon.com/SHURflo-4008-101-E65-Revolution-Water-Pump/dp/B002XM5G70/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1504038663&sr=8-2&keywords=Shurflo+4008-101-A65) would be problem, not enough or would require accumulator tank also.
After several e-mails with Remco about 55 Aquajet ARV I have decided not to purchase it. They kind of ticked me off. If i buy it from Amazon no warranty, but if I drive 60 mil round trip to Camping Word and pay $40 more then there is warranty, or order it from some other online seller that Remco recommends and pay outrageous shipping fee of $60 to get it by Friday ... I will never understand and don't care to understand why a same product in a box is covered by manufacturer warranty if you buy it from one place and not from the other. Anyway enough of that, sorry!
Thank you,
AL
I've been very happy with my Sureflo 4028.
