I have traded my 99 Newell, which I have owned for almost 5 years, for a smaller coach. At my age it was becoming stressful driving and parking a 50,000 pound 45' coach. I live in Nacogdoches and have been keeping an eye on the inventory at MOT for the last 6 or 7 months and finally a clean, well taken care of 2004 U270 36 foot came in. Just what I have been waiting for. So we worked out a trade and am well pleased. This is not my first Foretravel. I traded an 02 40' for the Newell. Looking forward meeting a whole new group and some old friends on the Foretravel forum.
Congratulations, Chappell.
Brett
Congratulations on your Foretravel purchase.
Bob
Yes, congrats Chappell. Went the same route, Foretravels, Newell, now back to Foretravel. The Newell was great, but the Foretravel I have now is better suited to my present lifestyle. [and a lot easier to park!]
Congratulations. I too downsized but a bit smaller yet.
Congrats. When we purchased our 34' a few weeks back at MOT we saw that coach when the previous owner brought it in. Its beautiful! You must be thrilled.
Yes, Randy I saw your coach. A beautiful newly painted red coach. Great looking. Have you picked it up yet? I think you are from Fla.
Chappell,
I believe you have purchased our ex Foretravel. We sold it in September 2016. We downsized to a Chinook. Congratulations.
Larry the built # is 6273. I think MOT sold it about 18 months ago to a person named Soley, or something like that. Anyway it has an oak wood floor and white tile. Not many would have that combination. How long did you own it? It looks like it has been taken very good care of and thank you for that. From now on it will be taken good care of and will live in a closed garage as all my coaches have. I enjoy doing all the maintenance myself. There has been several upgrades since you owned it like a third 8-D gel battery has been added and the electronics with a dish and Winegard Rayzar 8500 OTA antenna. I have only had it a week and am still working on it, but am sure I will enjoy it.
Chappell, our coach was build #6273. We purchased it in June 2013 at Foretravel and sold it in September 2016 at MOT. I installed a Winegard Pathway X1 Satellite Antenna, Dish VIP211K receiver, Sony DVD player, and Vizio E291-A1 TV. TV cabinet work was done at Foretravel. In addition, we had installed the MCD shades, Koni FSD shocks, Optima engine batteries, Xantrex 3000 watt inverter, and Michelin tires. All work and service done at Foretravel.
Larry, thank you very much. If you are ever in Nac. I can park you and give you 30 or 50 amps and water. I do not have a dump. Rudy and Carolyn, the AH expert, came up before Harvey and stayed several days and then on to Killeen. They are back home now in Baytown. There is still water down there but made it home OK.
Chappell & Mary,
Welcome (back) to the Forum. You probably already know this, but our members have benefitted greatly from the efforts of Tom McCloud over at Newell Gurus. He is the purveyor of some excellent HWH 6-pack solenoid rebuild kits, which just happen to be applicable to both Foretravel and Newell coaches. I believe the two brands also have other close similarities in some of the systems. It is always beneficial to have members here with experience in multiple coach makes/models/configurations.
Post some photos of your new ride when you get a chance!

Didn't have time to drive the 34' home when the call came to buy it or lose it....We're heading back in mid-October to take a leisurely drive home.
