I was low on anti-freeze on the aqua hot so I filled up the overflow tank. This is third time having to fill the tank. The first was after returning from FOT for service in spring of 2016. I had work done on a few things one being the servicing of the aqua hot. This third time, so I decided to check things out first before filling it up again. Removed the cover and found the center circulating pump leaking. Wondering why FOT didn't say anything about it. It had to be leaking for a while. Either way it needs to be fixed. Do I replace the pump or clean it up and replace any seals? If I replace what is the part number to the pump or seal kit if one is available? What is the procedure for removing the pump? It wasn't easy trying to get a good picture in their with the IPAD.
Thanks in advance for the help,
John M
Talked to John and he now has a plan to fix it. O-rings I think.
Rudy,
I know it's not a great picture, but that is where It looks like it's leaking, at the bottom of the pump. It drips on the engine circulating pump. There was a large sticky glob of anti-freeze underneath the pump. I am going to try and tighten the screws as you suggested with a ratcheting driver first. If that doesn't work we will take it out and look at the possibilities of replacing all of the o-rings as you suggested. Otherwise we will get a used one from Roger as you suggested. It is tight working in the bay. Makes me want to give up my aqua hot but it has to get done.
Thanks for your help and input,
John M.
P.S. I did signed up in the Aqua Hot Forum.
John
Totally agree on how difficult it is to work on the Agua Hot inside the front bay. Every time I work on mine I hurt for a week. Hope all goes well with your repair.
Jason
Thanks Jason! We are going to try. Might as well do other service while I'm in there. 😁

While buying parts on Rogers site I noticed a mention that those O rings on the pumps of my generation Aqua Hot were problematic and there was a service kit for them. Mine don't leak at this time and when they do go they give enough notice to buy the kits then rather then letting them age in my spare parts bin.
Craneman,
With that problem in mind just wondering if I should do all of them since I am in there. Preventative maintenance. Or, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. We have the 432/12 aqua hot, is that what you have?
Thanks,
John M
Yes, I have the same model. Our coaches are only 4 numbers apart.
If I do one, I will do them all. Only have to deal with the mess one time.
Craneman,
I agree, suffer only once. I just may wait till I get home in Florida. There is a lot of work in there. It's easier to do the work at home. Working at the campground is rough. The coach is under the Motorsport in Florida with access to all of the tools. Currently trying to get a hold of Roger for parts.
John M
I usually just use his computer system for buying parts.
Trying to find the o rings for the pumps is proving to be a challenge with no luck. Roger from RV Hydronic Heater said he use to carry them but stopped because they were fitting too tight. I am still looking for a replacement.

O-ring size chart (http://www.oringsusa.com/html/size_chart.html)
T-Man,
We just don't know what size. Still searching.
John M.
John,
The webpage has a link to purchase if you know the size you need. Mic the one(s) you have............ or ask Roger Burke.
I found the Aqua Hot Parts Manual. Page 10 shows the breakdown and that the Pump part number is PLX-809-200 and the description of the pump is BR-809 Circulation Pump.
http://www.aquahot.com/files/parts_manual/AHE-100-02S_Parts_Manuals_Rev_B.pdf
I searched BR-809 Circulation Pump and found the pump parts breakdown at AETSOLAR made by March Pumps. On page 2 it shows the O-Ring listed as a .070 CS X 2.441 ID made from Silicone, Part Number 0809-0165-1000.

My Aqua Hot pump is a Webasto. Even though this pump is made by March, do you all think the specs would be the same?
John M.
Have you tried contacting Aqua Hot directly to ask about the O-Ring size, repair kit, etc?
Chris
Dummy me. I went back to the picture to see if I can find any info of the pump. The pump is a March pump. I will double check any part numbers tomorrow. I guess I solved my own problem. Anyways thanks everyone for the help and suggestions. I will post pump verification tomorrow.
John M.
That O ring part number is for the brass pump the number for the plastic is different. The BR 809 PL model pump From your picture is what we have.
Craneman,
I pretty sure the pump is brass. I will double check tomorrow and let you know.
John M.
Well, I was able to get into the Aqua Hot cave to determine which Pump I had. Would have done it yesterday but it was raining. Turns out I have the 809-BR which takes the 0809-0165-1000 O-ring listed in the documentation I posted earlier. I was able to find the part on EBay and ordered 4. Since I have to suffer and make a mess, I might as well do all 4 pumps. So much work for a freaking $2.00 part. 😠 Attached are 2 pictures of the pump showing the pump part number, the Bronze pump and the parts list. Also attached the link to the part on EBay.

Sounds good John. Maybe you need to check with Roger Burke to discuss the size problem he had before you install al of them.
Roger never said where he was getting the o-rings from. If you look at the table on Reply-19 the size is not common. I checked different o-ring manufacturers/suppliers and couldn't find a match using the dimensions listed.

John:
Thanks for all your hard work and posting your results. I was servicing my Aqua hot today and found the same leak as yours except mine is zone A. I ordered 4 of the O rings as well. Again thank you.
