I ordered this camera, because I have an extra input on my monitor. I am going to add another monitor later. I thought I could mount the camera on the side fender, but it had to mount vert. or horizontal. So this is how I did it. Running the wire through the mirror was fun, but only had to drill one hole in the bottom of the mirror.
It actually looks better in person, then in the pictures.
Like $22.00 delivered from China.
Love it.
Chris,
I'm been looking for one of those! Can you provide a source for your camera? Off e-bay I assume?
see ya
ken
You bet Ken
It came out of China. No instructions. But that is no biggie. If you get one PM me, I can give you a few things I figured out on my own about it.

What's that blue car on the lift, under the tarp? Perhaps a GM "A" body?
That would be a 73 B5 Cuda, 340 6 pack 4 speed. Owned 35+ years.Below it is a 71 dart swinger, wife's car.Ex drag car. The "GM" Camaro is in the front garage.I married into that one. She's drives the Camaro and Dart daily. Then there is Barbie the race car. We sold the Chrysler 300 to a collector last year. Dads car, wasn't the same without him.
Here is our flock
Beautiful! You could hold your own car show! In my hobby car days, I could only afford to have one at a time - poverty sucks.
I am a unemployed panhandler drag racer, on social security. This is our 401K sitting there....LOL
Actually, they were all bought back when you could buy a muscle car for real money.....None of them were big projects either.A paint job back then was 500 to a grand. Now that won't buy you sand paper. It's like 10K for paint, and that's if it's not rusty!
I'm drooling over the Camaro.
Is the '69 a clone or was it a true SS? I know it is not the original hood.
Everyone loves that darn Camaro. They lean against my cars to droll over hers. She has guys chase her all the time to try and buy it. I think all you GM people are brain washed....LOL
Original 350, white with blue interior poverty pack car. Her dad built the BB 396. Belly button car!
If it makes you feel any better, I would walk right past the Camaro with only a casual glance, and then spend the next hour dribbling spittle on your B5 Cuda. I always loved that color. In late 1969, the week before I shipped out for SEA, I stepped into a Dodge/Plymouth showroom in Abilene, TX. They had a B5 Hemi Cuda on display in the middle of the showroom, and I fell instantly in lust. Couldn't afford it, of course, and anyway no place to store it while I was gone overseas. But for the next year, that car was a major player in some of my most memorable wet dreams...
We used to run braces from the front bolt on frane/ suspension clip on Camaros to the firewall to reduce the front suspension deflection on turns at speed. Four bolts and rubber biscuits allowed too much movement if you were picky.
Bought an old X frame 58 corvette for a stiffer chassis car, 58 olds/Pontiac/Buick underneath basically.
And you could pull the pan straight down on the vette'. No cross member under the motor
When I 1st got the Cuda, went to Fremont to a mopar drag race. There was a 71 hemi 4spd coupe all restored for sale. 8K. I thought well, I'll have 8K in this one when I am done, maybe I should just buy that one. Had the money. But it was bronze with white interior and a white top, couldn't get past that so I passed. They went to 75K the next year, and I don't need to tell you where they are now. Hemi Converts, all 15 of them are north of 3 mil, if your lucky to even find one for sale! I would have never enjoyed that one, like i do this one. I drive it, and don't worry.
I love all cars. Fortunately the 69 Camaro is one of my favorite body styles. I always razz people about Chevy's
This was my daily driver in the late 60's. made lots of dough. 389 Pontiac engine, with a chevy 4 spd. So I lived on the dark side once.
My ex race cars
Oh man... you and me both!
71 original boss 429 mustang meticulous maintained, offered to me for $3500 in 76 or 77 by a mechanic buddy of mine with fresh 3 angle valve job. Due to college I had to keep the wrecked pos gremlin. Probably the reason I'm still alive.
OK, you have my curiosity going.... what was under the hood of the Vega?
You want to talk about the "Dark Side"...I was into BUICKS. My last street/strip car was a '71 Buick Skylark GS (clone). Pump-gas 468 Buick, manual-shift TH350 with 10" converter (3500rpm stall), 12-bolt 4.11 posi-track. All the good engine and suspension stuff. I liked to remove the hood and drive it around town - gave all the ricers a hard time. It was STRONG off the line and across the intersection!
Typical swap in the late 70's, 406 small block 350 trans. 12 bolt rear end.
I have a customer with 69 Z clone road race car for sale. Still has the door panels and title 25K .

2000 FordRanger , with 1989 Vette engine, T10 onMicrosquirt
The engine is set back 15in as is the body . 51 % rear weight. Works well .
Way cool. We have a turbo Grand Sport that runs low 9's at out 5K altitude track. Looks stock. I like Buick's...We has a 57 Anglia in H/S with a buick in the front seats. Straight axle etc. here is a picture of a very similar one, blue and all. Not the car, but very close.Ours had Jardine fender wheel headers. Jerry Jardine made them for us back in the day.
Jerry Jardine made my exhaust for my 427 installation in my 58' vette in 1967. Moved the battery to the trunk and the headers were not visible as they did not cut the inner fender. Stealth car.
2750 pounds and a 57 Pontiac 3:08 rear gears housing.
50 in first. 100 in second. 150 in third. I stopped at 165 in fourth at 5,700 rpm.
Xrayed race tires. Body off frame. Velvet touch metallic brakes
Yup, back in the day when these people ran their own business's, not corporations. Would take my clutch to Hayes, he would say,"go have lunch, I will have it ready for you". Complete rebuild. use to hang out at Art Carrs place among others. Those were the days.
BTW, Did you get those spools I sent you Bob?
Yes thank you
The San Fernando Valley where I am at. was the center of racing for awhile. Marv at A1 was a mile from me so was B&M, P.A.W a mile from B.&M. Don Prudhomme same block as P.A.W. Ed Pink is still here. Tommy Ivo was 5 miles from me. The old San Fernando Raceway was my younger stomping grounds then Lyon's, O.C. raceway and Irwindale and finally Los Angeles County Raceway. They are all gone now.
Lions. Everything faster down by the "beach"
Electric rollers to start the dragsters instead of push starting them down the track.
Yea I ran them at times. plus held the stake money in match races between stone, woods and cook and "big John Mazmaniam in AAGS.
Miss motormouth Larry Huffman the track announcer. Are you a Chevy fan? Are you a ford fan?. Are you a dodge fan?
miss the giant cloud of tire smoke and burning eyes from the nitro.
Watched a fueler bike go through the eyes of the right lane and the rider through the left lane. He lived to tell the story. Watched Evel jump there also.
One night a digger did this huge burn out at Lions, like 1/2 track. I thought to myself, "how are they going to push that thing back". This is when they had to hand push them back to the starting line. He sat there a couple of minutes, then all of a sudden he starts backing up on his own. It was one of the 1 st reverser's. Blew my mind!
Remember the black widow turbo (axle) VW at lions? 160 or something MPH on it's lid
Remember the widow maker? They got it going on a jack stand, kicked it off, and let er' rip!
Yep That and the freight train and the odd couple (Chrysler Chevy combo) Tommy Ivo's 4 Buick dragster
Ah the show at lions. Pollution packer peroxide rocket car. Romeo Palamides and art Afron's jet cars.
Wild wille borsch, Hayden profit, butch leal, snake(purdome) and springer(McEwen),
Green track hot dogs and hurry up and wait to race.
Dial in's, eliminations...
Best times
Oh yes, the Odd Couple dragster. I asked Leo Dunn once, why would you put a big block Chrysler Hemi, and a small block Chevy together in a race car. He told me so the big Hemi would give you the torque off the line, and the small block Chevy would twist the Hemi's RPM's up at the finish line. It did, and it worked.
If only we had innovation like that today. But nope, we get to watch the same 8 cars race the same 8 cars with NHRA. Not only that, slow guy races faster guy 1st round. read $$$$$$$$$ is the winner......Yawn.
Here is the newly restored Leo Dunn dual engine BB Chevy dragster. it was displayed at the Sonoma race (once my home track), next to my good friend Steve Castelli's "Hot Rod Willys" . Leo was a friend. I actually sponsored the car for a while with my van shop.
BTW ......Steve's Willy's was used in the movie "Hot Rod". If you never seen the movie you should. Steve now owns most the cars used in the movie. The 40 ford panel was his for years. Use to see it at the donut shop. He also has another Yellow Willy's that is a street rod
Front of Steve's shop with our Harley sitting there. His place has been in Hot Rod magazine twice. Quite the place.
Enjoy, and thanks for all the memories guys
