Turned on the Aqua hot diesel switch at the sink; light stays on for ~20 seconds then turns off. Tried several times w/shore power and w/generator power, same result. Cannot find any explanation in my paperwork thus far.
Hi Fiddler,
There can be several causes for failure to run. Igniter coil, flame sensor, and the controller box are most common. Low tank fluid and thermostats also are common culprits. Recently replaced components probably could be excluded. The trouble manual gives a flow tree to help diagnose these items.
An Aqua Hot service tech such as Rudy Legett would be of significant help.

Hi Fiddler,
Jim knows more than he's letting on about the Aqua Hot...aka expert in my opinion. Esp on the electronic side of thing. It was great to be traveling with him on the Alaska motorcade.
Question? Does the fan come on for the 20 seconds after you turn the switch on...and there is then no ignition? Or does the exhaust fan not even turn on ?
Gary
Fiddler,
The burner is failing to fire and is faulting. It is telling you it has faulted by turning off the light in the interior switch. Many reasons for the burner to fault but the number one fix is servicing the burner giving it a new nozzle in the process.
Can you service the burner?
And a new A H fuel filter.
If I can locate some instructions, I'll give it a shot Rudy. I think I can handle changing the nozzle and new filter. Where is the best place to get the kit to do this?
Found some instructions on Beamalarm but cannot figure out how to print it? anybody?

If on a win 10 pc open menu then select print. on mine the print screen opened blank until clicking "simplify" along top. Then able to print, or so it appears.
Hope this helps.
Just a follow up since I started this thread; hope this might help others; Luckily, not sure what the fix was, nonetheless, Aquahot now works since the following was performed..............
Pulled the access panel and checked the fuses.
None were tripped; so I removed and cleaned the fuse contacts and reseated them
Jiggled the 3 relays and reseated them
Jiggled some of the wires and reseated the 2 plug connectors at the base of the square silver colored box. Buttoned everything up, went into the coach, took a chance with my fingers crossed and hit the switch and the AH started and ran normally (initially smoked pretty bad for about 2 minutes; then stopped smoking and eventually the AH ran its course then shut off. Hot water was as normal in the motorhome.
Again, not sure what solved the problem nor how long it will stay solved.
I will get the annual service done. While it looks easy enough, the cramped quarters and expected abuse to these old joints won't survive.
Hi Fiddler,
I'm glad you did the "magic trick" and it started. FYI several components can be on the edge of failing and work sporadically, sometimes varying with heat or cold conditions of the Aqua Hot. This is especially true of the control box, the ignitor coil and the flame sensor. It is easier to repair once a component fail completely. The number of other causes are numerous and often a challenge to find.
Yearly maintenance is a really good idea.
