Title: Chasis Fuse Panel Location
Post by: KenKetch on September 24, 2017, 12:40:25 am
The headlights on my coach have stopped working. All of the running lights work but not the headlights or aux lights. Where can I find the fuse or circuit breaker for the headlights, hopefully it is just a fuse.

They are on a circuit breaker, have you flipped the high low beam to see if it makes any difference?

Most are under the dash, may be different for your style.

Howdy Ken,
Attached is a print that indicates ckt bkr 36 is for headlights.  These breakers are located behind a removable panel that is in the dash directly in front of the passenger seat.
Good Luck, Dave A

Did you try the lights with the ignition key ON ?

Aux lights only work with ignition key on, and maybe high beams, and also maybe your headlights.

On my coach the engine must be running to activate the headlights, then they stay on if you turn the engine off.

John & Stacey, try to activate your headlights with ignition key on, but before starting engine.  I think headlights need ignition on, but not engine running.  And I wonder if lights stay on after removing ignition key.

Thanks to everyone for their answers. Dave,  Thank you for the info about the circuit breaker. When I get back to the coach later today I will try it. Somehow I thought that there was a chassis fuse panel in the left front of the coach but could not find it.

To all who answered.  Yes, I know the ignition needs to be on and I discovered that the headlights were not working when we were traveling at dusk/night for the first time. And so the condition exists for both engine running and just ignition on. Fortunately, I discovered this condition only 9 miles from home after just completing a 5,000+ mile trip, without any issues, excepting one air conditioner stopping, which is my next project.

I value this forum so much! One of the many best things about owning a Foretravel.    Ken

I always thought headlight circuit breakers were self resetting for safety issues. Post what you find

IIRC (at least in a 2003), there are also some automotive relays up there, up high.  We had one stuck "on" for our clearance lights after a particularly bad rainstorm - somehow it had gotten wet.  Standard part available at NAPA, but I don't have a p/n handy.
