Title: Awning Re-Hab
Post by: JimV on September 30, 2017, 09:05:22 pm
Got the parts from Zip Dee to get the patio awning repaired and serviceable. Gotta do some major cleaning on a wide, ugly mildew stripe. The pull strap had been chopped off, but thankfully PO kept the two foot chunk that got caught and rip/cut off. With the rest of the strap still attached, I had to make a work station on the lawn, tote the old sewing machine down there and do "field surgery".  (Happy to learn the outside outlet works fine.) Certainly not the prettiest seamstress job I've ever done, but the strap is whole again and sturdy enough to withstand the stress of future tugging.
Getting eager to put the sleep number bed in there, but alas we discovered some bad rot under the dash..... another project on the list. Not to be deterred, just messy! The pretty stuff has to wait.  ;)

After you clean your awning coat it and the window awnings with 303 Fabric Guard, It is approved for your awnings and will protect and waterproof them.
