Been putting my awning in and out. Worked great then smoke of wire burning comes out of front arm. Called Jimmy at Zip Dee. Indicated this wire has been an issue and they have rebuilt arms with better wire. To rebuild arm $80 per hour Two hrs plus shipping. Exchanged. So far this awning has been a major expense as I replaced the arm at Foretravel. Must have gotten another bad wire unit. Must replace myself, but Infinity can put it on as Foretravel and MOT are booked out to Dec and made no effort to help me. So if u have an 02 with this awning call Jimmy at Zip Dee. 1-800-338-2378.
Same awning but have not tackled it yet.. Mine does nothing.. I jumped the motor and nothing so I think its officially dead.. soon I will take it down and go over each arm and see what it needs or just buy a new one.. I like the new style they use on the new foretravels
Isaac at Infinity is very sharp technician on Foretravels. He has many years of experience at several of the local shops. He just rebuilt my front 6-pack and I'm happy - takes the time to do things right.

Tks Jim good to know. David to get this awning to work u need at least 90 #
Of air pressure. I use 100 # . 12 volts of power times 2. That's two small 12 volt
Batteries in series. 24 volts needed to move motor. Key must be off. U should be able to get manual off internet. If not let me know can fax a copy. About 40 pages.
When we were at ZipDee having them look at this same "blessed" awning, they discovered that the wiring that went into the coach to the main power source was rotten and brittle. They threaded new wire from the arm into the body of the coach. Please do not ask me where it went in or what the connection was ... it was a while ago. But I just want to get you all looking at more than just the arm, itself.
Replaced the batteries with new.. bought a dedicated compressor for the air.. I will really look into it when I am recovered from my neck surgery.. few more weeks and I should be good. I think I have the manual in the folder, if not I will let you know.. thanks for the offer
