Title: best source for FT window shades
Post by: John/Pat on October 16, 2017, 09:27:44 pm
I called FT to get a new window shade for the driver window and was told FT had to order them. So if they have to order why not go to the source myself. The problem being I do not know the source, Can anyone point me to to supplier.

John,

There are many companies that make shades for our coaches.  I chose MCD in McKinney, TX. Very well designed front shade. They have two: a porous, black shade to block the sun and yet let you see out and then an all opaque shade of any color to block even more heat and light.

Great products and they are motorized as well.

John,
If you want to match the originals and keep the aesthetics in tune:

Last time I used them - info may be three years out of date:

United Shade, Inc.
28605 County Road
Elkhart, IN  46514
219.262.0954

$7.50 for 150 ft. of concentric string
$25 + S&H to restring/rebuild a shade
New tie down spools were about $1.50 ea.
MELISSA was my contact.

HTH,
Neal
