On our genset the fan is controlled through a small reset breaker that can be gotten from most any local electrical supply company. Does your genset control board look like this one? If not do you have a picture of yours as there are several different set ups used back then.

A pic. will help out to determine which control box you have so it can be narrowed down to the exact parts you need. As you can see now, there are differences in coaches that came down the line back to back. A lot depended on which power unit was used, did it have auto start, maybe even the day of the week at Power Tech.

After returning home to a warm 80 degree Florida I started work on the generator. During my trip to North Georgia (25 degrees) the fan toggle breaker tripped causing the generator motor to overheat boiling out some of the coolant before the high temp switch shut the motor off. I changed the oil and coolant before restarting the generator. I also ordered a new toggle 15 amp breaker to replace the suspected band one. I started the generator and it ran fine for over an hour. As soon as I receive the new breaker I will swap it out.
I would like to install an alarm to let me know if the fan stops working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. At present there are no alarms or warning lights installed on the generator. 1997 power tech 10 kw.

Removed the 15 amp toggle breaker and found the line lug broken in the breaker housing which caused an intermittent open. Replaced the breaker with a new one and so far the breaker holds and the generator works great.

Have not used my Coach in years, replaced all the batteries, air bags and tires and took it to Quartzite last week.
1996 U320, 10k Kubota powered generator shuts off after about 10 minutes, fan (blower, squirrel cage) not coming on, spins freely.
Where do I start looking? there is only 1 push button reset switch on the front of the panel it is in the out position and does not stay in when I push it.
Also the left rear air bags did not inflate when they went into " Travel" mode. Once I pushed the button to raise the coach they inflated and all was fine? Not a big deal, now that I know how to make it work, but if someone knows what might cause it, it would be nice.
I put in 3 large Lithium Batteries, was VERY impressed with how they worked while dry camping.

While the generator was running did it produce power? Was any 120v items inside running? If it was making power then you need to check the connections where the remote fan is hooked into the control box. You may have a bad capacitor on the fan motor. With the field breaker staying out that may be your root problem. If the generator didn't produce any power before it tripped out then replace that breaker.
The air bag problem sounds like a failed travel solenoid on that air bag.

The fan capacitor is know to go bad all the time. On my 1997 I also had to replace the motor. I thought it was a bad breaker but after getting a new one and installing still tripped breaker.
