Some time ago I found this INSIDE our ice maker, while checking and cleaning it. I don't see that I ever posted it. Maybe it will help others, at some point.

Lynn and Marilyn,
Thanks for posting this. I have rebuilt our ice maker once, using parts I found alongside a dumpster at the Grand Canyon. Having this will help when I need to do some more repairs.
Hope ya'll are well.

The tray mechanism shown is typically what goes bad, and around $125-150 at a local appliance parts store. My Uline is still going strong after 28 years, and makes more ice than I can use.
So Lynn the last time we serviced water at your place we had the uncontrolled leak out of the ice maker. So this past week finally got the carbon filter converted to a standard 1/4 water filter

Using C clips to mount on the same wall were the original filter mounts

And replaced the water control valve

Old valve had a damaged seal and I figured just replacing it was a easy way to go.
The notes you posted show checking the flow level setting and I was unaware but it makes sense in talking about it. Thanks for posting. Who knows may have a ice maker that works after a decade of doing nothing. I'm confident the drinking water spout will work.

That is a schematic for the Dometic ice maker. A U-line icemaker, although similar, has 5 connector wires from the 110 source and costs $250. The Dometic runs about $45 and makes much less ice per day. Big difference.
Do you have any more information. I searched history but was unable to find anything. I'm guessing the 80-54372-00 is the correct model u-line. Why does it make more ice?

I replaced mine with one from Lowes. It's a common residential ice maker. Was under a $100.00.
I have bought them for customers for $75.00 off ebay. There is a guy that deals in just ice makers. Plug and play.
Our Dometic has a compressor, but they all make ice slow, because I don't believe our Dometics get as cold as fast in the freezer side as a home.
I usually start it a few days before we leave, then turn it off. Plenty of ice for our need.

Still have mine for sale, let me know, shipping would be from Millington tn.
After trying, unsuccessfully, to replace the mechanism in the original Uline ice maker, I decided to trash it and buy a new one. We are finding flakes of metal in the ice, with the new unit, which is pretty annoying. These aren't cheap appliances. We mostly use ours as an auxiliary freezer where we stack our vacuum sealed meals, something much more practical than having a load of ice cubes.
