There is a few years old you tube video showing the replacement of a Javelina Monitor with a TFT LCD 6" monitor. No P/N was given and I have been unable to discover it. I have found both 5"&7". Does anybody know what a good P/N is?
FWIW,
I got a 7 inch tft monitor off eBay and it was about $20. It works fine (about as good as the crt monitor). I just used velcro to cover up the old cut out on the dash. I have had it in about a year and don't have any major concerns. Truly believe it would work better if I added a new camera and frankly just haven't done it yet (though I do think it worthwhile). Best of travels.
Hi Cedric,
I've replaced mine in the past because the flex circuit board for the LCD screen failed. If yours is the type that powers itself out of the dash and then tips up for viewing...

These are hard to find, try eBay and expect to find them pretty pricey... in the area of $300.
The Panasonic camera that was in my coach had poor compatibility for the cheap monitor I bought
recently from China, so changed cameras too. Much better color and clarity. Be careful that any
monitor your buy has image reversal capability by a button on the front so it doesn't appear backwards.
There still can be a conflict between the tank image and the back-up camera image - can't get them
both to be correct left-to- right .
So you might call Tim's RV Cams. His camera and monitor systems are more expensive ( I was
quoted $550. for a whole system) than those from China. I' m sure they work far better and properly too.
Others on the Forum have purchased from Tim's and seem happy.

I bought from Tadi Brothers and the monitor lasted less than 2 years. They could care less. I would not recommend them and get something directly from China.
There is a ton of good information on the monitors in this post. I bought the one gracerace suggested and it was pretty simple to install and seems to work really well. Camera and monitor was +- $60
I am waiting on a BNC Male to RCA female connector to hook the camera up but I had it all hooked up on the bench and it worked well. I should have my connector tonight.

I have replaced my radio and my rear camera, I then had cable send the Javelina info to the video port and it works good.

is that connector what you needed on both ends of the original cable to hook to the new camera and monitor?? I would rather have connectors than try to splice a rca on the original cable
