Title: One more wire to ID
Post by: floridarandy on December 16, 2017, 02:41:42 pm
This gray cable has red, black, bare woven wire and the silver tape shielding you would find coax cable  but a diameter about 1/3 of standard coax.

I disconnected it and don't immediately see anything that's not working.

It runs from above the driver across the overhead cabinets and disappears to the right (passenger) side of the coach. It appears to be running in the same channel with the coax  feeding the bedroom tv.

Any ideas?

Looks like either the remote eye, or off air antenna up switch.

What is an off air antenna up switch?

When you crank up your batwing type TV antenna on the roof there is a switch that turns on a light on the dash so you know the antenna is up. Hopefully you will see the light and crank down the antenna before you drive off

Nope. With antenna up the warning light on dash still works.

Remote eye, or optional wire for it. Do you have a little gold dot in the bedroom, with dark glass in it. About 1/2"?
